Tybee Island Guide and Travel Information

Jaycee Park on Tybee Island
(8.5 acres) Located at the intersection of Campbell Rd. on Van Horne, within walking distance of the beach.

Of our parks here on Tybee Island, Jaycee Park is the more scenic with it's lush nature of wildlife, variety of plant life, and marshy creeks, There is a 1/4 mile track through, and around the area so one may see it all by taking a stroll or by bicycling. Small bridges cross the creek, and a few gazebos are scattered, as well as picnic tables to leisure and dine in the presence of the great outdoors. There is also a lighted ball field, practice field, basketball court, playground, recreation building, parking lot, and public restrooms.

Memorial Park on Tybee Island
(4.5 acres) Located between the Library at 405 Butler and the Gym at 202 5th St., within walking distance of the beach.

Memorial Park on Tybee Island is a favorite location for picnicking, and other get-togethers for families and organizations. It's found about midpoint of the island located directly behind City Hall and the Tybee Library on Butler Ave. To keep the children amused there is a playground consisting of swing sets, a merry-go-round, miniature forts, a "monkey car", and other contraptions to keep them occupied. There are also restrooms conveniently located on the premises. For more information about the park or rentals of its picnic pavilion, you may inquire by calling (912) 786-4573.
